About the Event
I view The GH3 Session as an investment in the future of Pittsburgh's vibrant jazz scene. We encourage everyone to follow The GH3 Session’s Facebook page where an ever-evolving, suggested set list can be found. This list highlights some standard and challenging repertoire, and is always available during the session on three supplied iPads. We’ve cultivated an innovative jam session to inspire the new generation and challenge them to live up to the musical standards that master musicians such as Dr. Roger Humphries Sr. have set in Pittsburgh for decades. The GH3 session is a positive, non-competitive environment where serious musicians of all generations and experience levels can explore and learn from one another.
